Exactly one month from today, I will be boarding a plane to San Francisco.
I’ve been working up a lengthy to-do list, filled with vegetarian restaurants, taxidermy specialists and well-edited boutiques. I’m going to be staying in the Haight Ashbury (that centre of eccentricity), next door to a comic book shop and a couple of blocks away from what is reputedly the greatest record store in the world.
If you have any tips or advice on what to do, where to shop and the like, do please let me know.

YES, Amoeba is the greatest record store ever! You’re going to have a great time.
You plan your trips? Very good. I usually just turn up and hope everything works out, but your way of doing things seems somewhat more organised. I hope you have a wonderful time, and make the most of it!
PS: Taxidermy specialists? Whatever for?
Adele – Oh yes, I adore planning trips. Mostly in terms of where to shop and eat (being a vegetarian means always knowing where your meat-free places are!).
I’m hoping to pick up some curious souvenirs from a couple of taxidermy/natural history places in SF – I have my heart set on getting some kind of skull replica. Or perhaps some moths under glass, if I can get them through customs.
