simplicity

This winter (such as it is in Sydney), I plan to explore a disciplined minimalism. The directive – clean, simple pieces in black and white offset by statement jewellery.

Some notes – this might be the perfect white t-shirt. Semi-sheer and with raw edges on the sleeves – I think I want to buy one in every colour (well, in black and grey, anyway). The ring was purchased from Shopbop, thanks to a voucher given to me by the incredibly lovely Karen Grajwer, who was in Australia recently and met with some of the Sydney-based bloggers. And this is what my hair looks like pre-straightening. In all its messy glory.

Wearing: t-shirt by Jac+Jack, leather skirt by Lover, necklace by Lady Grey, ManiaMania Immortals ring.

whispers & anarchy

…like a leper messiah…

Mimco were kind enough to ask me to participate in their latest campaign – the collection, Whispers & Anarchy, combines reflective surfaces, lunar-inspired hardware shapes and retro-futuristic glamour to beautiful effect.

Taking inspiration from Ziggy Stardust-era David Bowie, I’ve created a look influenced by glam rock excess and the exaggerated styling of Japanese kabuki – dark lips and eyebrows render expressions surreal, whilst a gold-dusted forehead pays homage to Ziggy’s iconic look.

Wearing: vintage silk kimono, Mimco Constellation Day Bag, ManiaMania Immortals ring.
