I recently picked up this horse hair necklace by Black Sheep & Prodigal Sons from Occulter, an online wunderkammer stocking all manner of dark and uncommon goods.
When wearing all black, different textures become incredibly important – and horse hair adds an interesting element to monochromatic ensemble.
I highly recommend having a click around the Occulter site – they stock some truly unique pieces (Morrissey candle, anyone?). You can buy your own horse hair necklace here.
Even Jedi approves.

It’s hard to improve on the hypnotic loveliness of Dion Lee’s Rorschach print but this Scanlan & Theodore harness might be the exception. It’s a risky piece, whispering of deviancy, so I like to wear it with otherwise polished pieces – a simple black slip; pointed pumps; anything that obscures rather than reveals.
I pined for this harness for months, and on a recent trip to Melbourne, convinced the beautiful Alicia that she should buy it. She did, then so did I.
Wearing: dress by Dion Lee, harness by Scanlan & Theodore, heels by Zara.

Black or white? I can’t decide.
Wearing: top by Michael Lo Sordo, skirt by Dion Lee and blazers by Oxford and Gary Bigeni.

Half inspired by The Divinitus and half inspired by Sons of Anarchy - there’s nothing like a pair of Ray-Ban mirrored aviators to make me feel invincible.
Wearing: leather pants by Sportsgirl, silk tank by Dion Lee, lace bra by Calvin Klein Underwear, necklaces by Drown and sunglasses by Ray-Ban from Sunglass Hut.
Thanks to Alicia Hannah Naomi for the necklaces and Sunglass Hut and AWPR for the sunglasses.

From Mimco: the loveliest shoes I’ve come across in a long time – with the equally lovely name of Moon-Sky Sandals. The knotted leather rope reminds me a little of Kinbaku (oh, Google it…but not while you’re at work), and the simplicity is just what I look for in a summer shoe.
Mimco recently launched their VIP collective, and they’ve given me two memberships (complete with $50 voucher) to give away. To enter, simply leave a comment on this post. I’ll be drawing the competition by random number generator in one week.
The competition is open to Australian residents.
COMPETITION NOW CLOSED.
Congratulations to the winners Lucinda and Emily!
